I've been dreaming that things work out with Emilie.
Last night, I reflected on what I've lost because I am no longer dating Emilie. I came to the conclusion that what I have lost is not as grand as I've been assuming.
I lost her love. While irreplaceable, I lived for 19 years before finding it and I hope I'll live much longer than that after losing it.
I do love her. I always will. Eventually, it will be glossed over by smirks and other lovers, but I'll still miss her laughter from time to time.
I saw a beautiful, sad girl and asked her if she wanted to talk. Sometimes things just happen that way.
